So far, in response, most supplement brands have developed formulations that replenish the bacterial strains that are commonly depleted with age.
But as access to health data expands and our understanding of the microbiome’s wider impacts deepens, we must ask: is simply replacing what's missing enough or can we go further and match microbial strategies to personal ageing journeys?
