The recognition highlights PetGaiaTM's innovative approach to pet wellness, combining a clean, sustainable palm fruit extract with scientific research and clinically supported applications for companion animal health.
The Pet Innovation Awards is an independent recognition platform for innovation across the pet care industry, with categories spanning pet nutrition, wellness, health, functional nutrition, sustainability, products and services. The 2026 awards program attracted thousands of nominations from around the world, recognising innovative companies and products contributing to the advancement of the global pet care industry.
A key milestone behind this recognition is the successful completion of what is believed to be the first randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial investigating a palm fruits extract ingredient for pet wellness. Conducted with ethical approval using a non-invasive study design, the trial represents an important milestone in expanding scientific research into plant-derived functional ingredients for companion animals especially dogs and cats, while maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
The completed clinical study generated encouraging findings across multiple parameters associated with skin and coat health. The full clinical findings and supporting scientific data will be presented by PhytoGaia during the Pet Nutraceutical Stage at Vitafoods Asia 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 3, 2026, from 1 pm to 1.45 pm.
Visitors and industry partners can also meet the PhytoGaia team at Booth H3-T01 throughout the event, taking place September 2–4, 2026.
