Published: 31-Jul-2023

June will see the eagerly anticipated return of Hi & Fi Asia China as China reopens for international business after three years of closures.

Informa Markets has announced the return of its complete Fi Global event calendar. In 2023, the full complement of Fi events around the world - from flagship event Fi Europe to regional editions in Asia, Africa and the Americas - will be back in full force. This truly global portfolio will give food & beverage professionals in every region of the world an in-person industry platform for unparalleled sourcing, networking and learning opportunities.

The Fi Global calendar kicks off in May, with Fi Africa, a dedicated ingredients sourcing event for the emerging African food & beverage industry. Colocated with ProPak MENA, the event opens on 28 May and will welcome 10,000 visitors and over 350 exhibiting companies. Onsite highlights include the Women’s Networking Breakfast, in partnership with Women of Egypt Network, the Fi Africa conference, supported by USAID, networking events and the Hosted Buyer Programme.

June will see the eagerly anticipated return of Hi & Fi Asia China as China reopens for international business after three years of closures. Fi South America, Fi India, Fi Asia Thailand and Fi North America follow in quick succession during August, September and October, providing targeted industry forums for tastemakers in these regions. The finale is Fi Europe, which returns to Frankfurt at the end of November, continuing a 35-year tradition as the highlight of Europe’s most-awaited food and beverage ingredients industry event.

By providing global coverage through region-specific events, the Fi Global series offers food & beverage personnel an economical, efficient and sustainable way of doing international business. It is the ideal forum for companies who are seeking to future proof their global supply chains, enter new geographical markets, discover new ingredients and glean intelligence on regional market trends.

We look forward to bringing thousands of suppliers and buyers of ingredients and solutions together to build profitable new partnerships

- Julien Bonvallet, Group Brand Director

Julien Bonvallet, Group Brand Director, Informa Markets, said: “We are so excited to be able to put on a full programme of global events again this year. The uncertainty of the last few years has resulted in a lot of pent-up demand from markets all over the world for opportunities to do business in person; nowhere is this truer than in the food and beverage industry where people want to taste the products, meet the inventors behind the ingredients and get fired up about innovation.”

He continued: “We look forward to bringing thousands of suppliers and buyers of ingredients and solutions together to build profitable new partnerships during 2023 and beyond through our comprehensive programme of events across the globe. It promises to be a year of growth for the food and beverage industry and these events will be key for fostering the innovation and fuelling the passion that will drive this growth.”

This year also sees the launch of a new brand identify for the Fi portfolio of events. The new identity is inspired by the collective transformational power of the food industry and the taste creativity that ensues when different ingredients come together.

Bonvallet said: “We are proud to be the platform where the tastemakers of the food and beverage industry can accelerate innovation, create a world of taste and build a sustainable future for food. This is conveyed through our new identity, which is empowering, vibrant, reliable and nurturing.”
