The Fi Europe Startup Challenge reopens its entries for 2024

Entries to the Fi Europe Startup Challenge are now open until the 6 September, 2024

Informa has reopened the Fi Europe Startup Challenge for 2024.

The competition focuses on young companies who are providing innovations to the functional food industry, and is encouraging new faces to submit an application for this year.

This year's challenge will involve four categories, including:

  • Most Innovative Food or Beverage Ingredient  
  • Most Innovative Plant-based or Alternative Ingredient   
  • Most Innovative Foodtech Solution (NEW)
  • Most Innovative Service or Digital Solution Supporting the F&B industry

The awards endeavour to recognise unique products and ideas for the food and beverage ingredients sector, as well as young companies that are promoting positive change in the F&B space.

It also allows startups cruical networking opportunities and the change to gain exposure to a global audience.

All shortlisted startups will be able to demonstrate their innovations to more than 25,000 visitors.

Entries are open to startups active for 5 years or less who have unique innovations focusing on additives and ingredients for food and beverages, or technologies and digital solutions to assist in the F&B manufacturing process. 

“Startups are defining and designing the innovative food ingredients of tomorrow, but often lack the scale and funds to bring their solutions to market,” said the Brand Director of Food ingredients Europe & Americas, Yannick Verry. “Connecting with the right partners is therefore a fundamental part of any startup’s journey, and the Fi Europe Startup Challenge is the ideal place to do so.”
