As the sole US patent holder of the ingredient, Natural Alternatives International (NAI) has an obligation to ensure CarnoSyn is being taken correctly and consumers are reaping the muscle building benefits.
There are more than 55 scientific studies on the benefits of beta-alanine, but to achieve performance benefits, it must be properly loaded and dosed.
Consumers need to load a minimum of 90 g during a period of 28 days. For advanced or maximum benefits, 179 g for 28 days is needed. This proper dosing regimen works out at an average of 3.2–6.4 g per day.
Dr Roger Harris, the biochemist who first studied the connection between beta-alanine and carnosine, said: “It is incredibly important that those taking CarnoSyn beta-alanine understand that the proven benefits do not apply to them if they are under dosing.
"It is up to the CarnoSyn brand partners to formulate their supplements with the correct dose of the ingredient. Every brand partner should make a clear statement that 90–179 g must be taken for a period of 28 days to achieve proven results.”
It is also important to note the maximum dose does not have to be taken all at once, consumers may stack their daily doses. This can be done in a variety of ways, including a pre-workout, post-workout or standalone product or as a combination.
In addition to stacking and taking the proper dose, consumers must take CarnoSyn beta-alanine every day to achieve benefits — not just on workout days.
