Omega-3 rich krill oil provider Aker BioMarine has debuted Revervia, a novel algae-based DHA oil suitable for dietary supplements.

According to the company, it consists of between 40 and 60% DHA — making Revervia the algae ingredient with the highest natural DHA concentration on the market.

The premium oil was created by Aker BioMarine to cater to both vegetarian consumers and environmentally conscious buyers, as it is grown and produced with minimal impact on marine resources.

This follows the company's European distribution network expansion, which it has achieved in partnership with specialty ingredients provider, Barentz.

To find out more about the product, the great bioavailability that algae-based omega-3s exhibit and Aker BioMarine's moves in the European market, NBR spoke with Nina Brundtland Skullerud, Marketing Manager of Aker BioMarine.
