Glanbia Nutritionals has appointed a Director of Premix, Michael Hofstätter, to lead the development and implementation of premix and functionally optimised nutrient strategies for the company in EMEA.
Hofstätter has been a key member of the company since February 2014, previously operating as the Plant Manager of its Orsingen facility. Heading a team of 130 colleagues, he led production and oversaw warehouse processes, alongside a recent £6m ($8.3m) upgrade of the plant.
While in the Quality Assurance (QA) department, Hofstätter was responsible for analysing risks and preventing hazards on production lines.
In the Director of Premix role, Hofstätter will define product positioning and focus, working alongside colleagues in other departments to drive the company’s commercial performance.

He added that working in a purpose-driven role to offer solutions to those who have deficiencies and specific health conditions, as well as increasingly health-conscious consumers, drives his desire to succeed.
