Omega-3 provider GC Rieber VivoMega has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Snorre Glærum Strand.
Snorre has an MSc in Economics from the Norwegian Business School BI. He has previously, among other things, experience from AstraZeneca and, for over ten years, held various positions in Nordea Bank. For the last five years, he has been the Finance Manager and later the CFO of GC Rieber VivoMega.
We are thrilled to have Snorre leading our dedicated team to additional success
Snorre knows GC Rieber VivoMega incredibly well from his role as Finance Manager and CFO. He has worked closely with the now former CEO, Jan Roger Bjerkestrand, and together with the rest of the team, they have developed GC Rieber VivoMega into a globally leading and profitable company in the omega-3 market.
As Snorre steps into the CEO role, the owners of GC Rieber have elected former CEO Jan Roger Bjerkestrand as the new Chairman of the Board of GC Rieber VivoMega, allowing for a smooth transition and continuation of the fruitful collaboration between the two.
“Snorre has been a critical part of the VivoMega team and has extensive knowledge about our brand, industry, and company. He has been fundamental in planning the ongoing expansion of the VivoMega production facilities in Kristiansund, where we aim to double the production,” said Jan Roger Bjerkestrand, Chairman of the Board. “We are thrilled to have Snorre leading our dedicated team to additional success.”
