Anurag Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of Natural Remedies, has announced the launch of HerbSecure, the company’s new programme that promotes transparency and sustainability, in tandem with obtaining four Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) certifications, in the company’s pursuit of becoming a fully sustainable organisation.
Natural Remedies was assessed and found to be in compliance with the requirements of the Voluntary Certification Scheme for Medicinal Plant Produce of the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) and implemented by the Quality Council of India for Level – 1 Option 2, Scope GAP for four of its botanicals: Ocimum sanctum, Withania somnifera, Andrographis paniculata, and Bacopa monnieri . The NMPB, Department of AYUSH has prepared India specific guidelines on Good Agriculture Practices (GAPs) on the pattern of Good Agriculture and Field Collection Practices (GACPs) developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) for medicinal plants.
These herbs are utilised for the manufacture of clinically tested extracts, Bacopa for BacoMind (Memory, Attention & Focus ), Andrographis for AP-Bio, also known as KalmCold in Europe ( Immune health) and Ocimum for OciBest (Stress & Sleep).
