Robertet has highlighted its range of nutricosmetic products, comprising four branded incredients for skin, hair and body: Lipowheat, Holimel, Keranat, Dimpless.
Consumers’ approach to beauty has changed in the last few years, the company says, even more so since the beginning of the pandemic. The role of nutrition as a source of beauty has led many consumers to supplementation for their beauty needs in addition to cosmetics.
In recent years, the supplement market has reportedly seen strong growth in premium products with ingredients backed by science.
For 20 years, Robertet has been working on the development of its nutricosmetic range with dedicated R&D teams which aim to demonstrate scientific proof of efficacy and mechanisms of action for each branded ingredient. The company conducts studies with specialised CRO. To date, 11 clinical studies have been carried out for ingestible beauty, enabling the company to publish 10 papers in scientific journals.
Lipowheat is a gluten free wheat extract which is rich in phyto-ceramides and glycolipids, providing protective and restructuring properties for the skin, the company says. It reportedly affects a range of properties considered characteristic of a youthful and healthy skin such as glow, hydration, visible wrinkle reduction, plumping effect and firmness.
Holimel, which contains super oxide dismutase (SOD), an anti-oxidant extracted from Cantaloup French melon, is designed to protect skin from UV and reduce skin damages related to UV. Clinical studies have reportedly affirmed its efficacy for both ingestible & topical applications.
Keranat is a natural, patented ingredient for hair designed to reduce hair loss, while increasing hair volumey. The company’s Dimpless ingredient has been demonstrated to act both against fibrosis of collagen and fat cells hypertrophy, the two main causes of cellulite.
All of the company’s nutricosmetic ingredients are vegan, sustainably sourced, and available in organic grade, it says.
