BI, a global full-service manufacturer of plant-based ingredients, marks 2018 as its 40th anniversary.
In celebration of their “ruby” milestone, BI plans to showcase two unique and rosy coloured beverages, an apple cider vinegar lemonade and a hibiscus and beet green tea, at the 2018 International Food Technologists Expo in Chicago, Illinois July 16-18, 2018.
BI will also sample functional popcorn at the event. BI invites customers and IFT attendees to join the team in celebrating 40 years of business “rooted in trust.”
BI’s offerings include plant-based powders and teas, standardised and ratio extracts, proteins, fibres, vitamin mineral premixes, custom blends, granular ingredients and other specialty processes.
BI is recognised as a pioneer of a steam sterilisation process, known as Protexx HP Green Steam, which is the industry’s only species-specific, organic sterilisation method with a validated kill step.
All BI ingredients are also tested for quality under the company’s Identilok species identification process, as well as undergo stringent quality analysis that includes heavy metal, pesticide and irradiation testing, among other items.
“I believe that our success and longevity in the natural products industry is the result of our concentrated focus on providing clean and high quality ingredients, as well as the advanced capabilities of our manufacturing system,” said Randy Kreienbrink, Vice President of Marketing for BI.
“Transparency isn’t just a motto for BI — it’s very mush a part of the way we conduct business. We offer more than 200 ingredients that have been determined as safe for use in food and beverages. Keeping the trust of our customers is truly at the heart of our business.”
