BI just announced its recent membership with the National Products Association (NPA).
NPA has been recognised for its strong presence in Washington, DC, where it has been an active participant in lobbying for both regulatory and legislative issues.
Among its main initiatives, NPA has played a key role on the passage of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA).
As the largest supplier of plant-based ingredients in the US, BI has taken an active role in helping companies boost the healthful properties of food and beverage, dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, personal care and pet care products.
Similar to NPA, BI has had a longstanding interest in protecting the general public from unsafe products.
BI conducts extensive species identification and quality testing on every ingredient so manufacturers can be assured each one meets clean label claims.
BI has also implemented its Protexx HP Green Steam process, which is the industry’s only species-specific, organic sterilisation method.
“The NPA represents a longstanding commitment to protect the interests of the natural products industry,” said Randy Kreienbrink, Vice President of Marketing for BI. “We share the same interest in elevating the industry as a whole and are proud to serve alongside such a committed partner.”
