Rousselot will be participating at Future Food-Tech Virtual Summit taking place on 31st September and 1st October. C-Suite food brand executives, investors and entrepreneurs will attend the event to in personal health and nutrition security.
On 1st October, Dr Sara De Pelsmaeker, Global Business Development Manager at Rousselot, will host an interactive online presentation titled: ‘At the Intersection of Food and Pharma: Prevention Through Nutrition’.
During the presentation she will be discussing the impact of food on health, specifically prevention, along with the effects of COVID-19 across age segments, and its ramifications for food. She will also be talking about the development of functional foods to address the nutritional needs of consumers, and the factors companies need to keep in mind when creating these products.
Sara graduated as a Bio-Engineer in Food Technology and Nutrition in 2009 at Ghent University. She obtained her doctoral degree in Applied Biological Sciences in 2016 at Ghent University with an expertise in sensory analysis. During her PhD at the department Agricultural Economics she gained extensive knowledge on business development and economics.
She started her career at the Coca-Cola Company where she worked as sensory specialist EMEA and in R&D focusing on adult sparkling drinks. Since 2018 she has joined Rousselot as a Product and Business Development Manager to support the business in North-West Europe. In 2021, she has focused on the global business development of the company’s health & nutrition segment. She works with existing and potential customers to assistthe development of collagen based launches.
