French manufacturer Laboratoire PYC has launched a new line of slimming food supplements.
The flat belly food supplement addresses both digestive problems (such as bloating) and the question of fat around the belly (from the waist to the hip).
For the latter, Laboratoire PYC has selected an extract of Sicilian blood orange. This has the virtue of being more highly concentrated in anthocyanins than other varieties. Anthocyanins act on the metabolism of adipocytes and on the accumulation of fat. Significant results have been validated for this active ingredient by clinical studies on BMI, weight and waist and hip circumference.
In addition, the formula is reinforced by chromium, which benefits from a European claim. Chromium is an essential trace element in slimming formulations targeting the belly. Chromium is in fact a co-factor of insulin, which facilitates its transport and action. Excess abdominal fat makes the body less sensitive to insulin, and the vicious circle begins: blood sugar levels rise, and unused sugar is stored in the fat cells.
Since 2012, the European health authorities (EFSA) have considered that food supplements containing at least 6 micrograms of chromium per 100g contribute to normal macronutrient metabolism and to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels.
Finally, for the digestive aspect, the laboratory's R&D team has favoured fennel.
This formula comes in the form of a powder to be rehydrated. Its composition is clean label and suitable for vegans.
The 'fat and sugar control' food supplement is generally a classic in slimming oral supplement brands.
Laboratoire PYC has chosen an orodispersible formula with a new grapefruit flavour. Indeed, in addition to effectiveness, several studies show that consumers also prioritise taste, convenience and ease of consumption when choosing products.
The dose is 4 grams after a meal, ideally twice a day (the powder dissolves in the mouth).
This type of formula helps to limit ingested fats and sugars thanks to the powder of barbary fig cladode.
