Ingredia releases video series on Pep2Dia
The videos feature experts explaining the progression of the ingredient, from research to manufacture, to its applications in the market
Ingredia has released a series of videos on its blog entitled Experts’ Voice, discussing the development of its Pep2Dia product. Pep2Dia is a dairy hydrolysate ingredient designed for the prevention of type 2 diabetes.
The videos feature experts explaining the progression of the ingredient, from research to manufacture, to its applications in the market. For example, the first video is hosted by Professor of Biochemistry at La Rochelle University, Thierry Maugard. Maugard discusses the partnership the university entered into with Ingredia to develop high-added-value molecules from milk proteins, which ultimately led to the creation of Pep2Dia.
In the most recent addition to the series, Julie Auger, Bioactive Application Specialist at Ingredia, talks about how companies can develop supplements using Pep2Dia. Auger explains how the ingredient can be used in standard delivery forms like capsules, tablets or sachets, but that it can also be delivered through functional foods, beverages or confectionaries for specific markets. She also discusses the challenges of formulating with bioactive ingredients, and what Ingredia has done to help overcome these difficulties.
