Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner, Ardent Solutions, is working with manufacturing company Loma Systems to implement a new ERP system. Having used the same ERP software for nearly 20 years, Loma has grown significantly, making its current systems incompatible with its business objectives.
Loma Systems supplies quality inspection equipment to the food, pharmaceutical and packaging industries across the globe.
With sales and operations teams principally in Europe, North and South America, the company is modernising its current processes to reduce strain on administrative departments, allowing more time to focus on best serving its customers.
The company chose to change its system to Ardent Solutions’ Annata package, an optimised build of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for manufacturing and industrial businesses. The new ERP solution will enable Loma Systems to automate tasks, which are currently processed manually and improve overall efficiency.
“Loma Systems had already decided that it wanted to use a Microsoft Dynamics solution,” explained Roger Fleury, Director of Ardent Solutions.
“However, integrating the system by itself meant additional bespoke software was necessary to meet the company’s needs. To overcome this issue, we suggested that they invested in the solution with the inclusion of the Annata package."
“The Annata feature is designed to help capital equipment manufacturers follow the progress of the order from start to finish. This was outlined as an important requirement from Loma Systems, as they wanted to clearly follow the configuring of the products through to invoicing and then support the equipment in the aftermarket.”
One of Loma Systems’ biggest drivers for changing ERP software was the need to integrate it seamlessly with its current customer relationship management (CRM) system. Loma Systems previously obtained its CRM system from Ardent Solution’s sister company and integrated business software specialist, CPiO.
“When choosing the vendor, we wanted to partner with, it was important that the company demonstrated a clear understanding of our company and customers,” explained Sean Hannan, Business Systems Manager at Loma Systems.
“No other vendor introduced us to the Annata package before Ardent Solutions, which demonstrated that they had a clearer understanding of our requirements in comparison to other solution providers.”
“Rebuilding our systems based on Annata means that we are able to remap our manufacturing processes, to improve efficiency across the business. The Sales and Service teams, for example, will have improved and integrated mobile access to the ERP solution, which will benefit both the Loma team and ultimately our customers.”
Loma Systems’ ERP system was previously centrally managed from one location, serving data across multiple Loma sites. By moving its ERP system to the cloud, the company will have additional safety and resilience in place to protect their data and eliminate unexpected downtime.
