The BCMPA, the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics, is exhibiting at this year’s White Label World Expo to highlight the benefits that brands and retailers can achieve by using third party contract manufacturers to produce white label products.
Visitors can meet the BCMPA team on stand WL1782 and speak to eight exhibiting members face to face to glean a clear insight as to how outsourcing can be the best route to market. The show takes place on 28 February and 1 March at ExCeL in London.
Over the last 12 months the association has seen a growth of over 50 percent in white label enquiries from clients using the BCMPA website’s free search facility or online enquiry form.
With almost 100 of the BCMPA’s 200 members offering white label/private label services, from processing, blending, mixing, formulating, and filling, to a range of different packaging options, White Label World Expo is a key event for brands, manufacturers, and retailers looking to launch new products.
The huge growth in e-commerce over the last few years, across a wide range of product sectors, in particular health supplements, personal care, and CBD/vaping, has seen many brands and retailers, together with emerging entrepreneurs, seeking to expand rapidly but cost-effectively into new, niche markets with innovative products.
For many, the simple branding of a pre-existing white label product is the ideal solution, particularly for scale-up companies with limited facilities of their own. But even for established brands, smart collaborations with third-party outsourcers can often remove the need for speculative investment in new research, equipment, facilities, stock holding, labour forces and costly certification.
It has never been easier for clients to explore the possibility of extending their ranges and introducing new products
Emma Verkaik (pictured), Membership & Marketing Director at the BCMPA, said: “The current economic downturn has thrown into sharp relief the huge value that third party manufacturers and packers can deliver for clients looking to launch new products.
“By utilising the established facilities, knowledge, and infrastructure of BCMPA members’ white label services, brand owners, retailers and online sellers can minimise many of the expenses of new product development.”
The BCMPA is also supporting its members Blends, Oxford Contract Manufacturing, Rain Nutrience, Redrose Manufacturing, Rocket Science Supplements, Statfold Seed Oil, VMS Solutions, and Whitehouse Solutions, at White Label Expo, as well as Think Big Fulfilment in the Retail Supply Chain & Logistics Expo.
In further support of its members, the BCMPA is hosting a speaker session on day one of the show, in Theatre 10 at 12.30, titled ‘The benefits of outsourcing your white label projects to a 3rd party manufacturer’.
Moderated by Emma Verkaik, it will feature panellists James Allan, co-founder of the Oxford Health Company, Scott Stripp, Head of Commercial & Supply Chain for Rain Nutrience, and David Goodings, MD of Redrose Manufacturing.
Verkaik concluded: “With almost half of our members already providing services and expertise in the white and private label sector, it has never been easier for clients to explore the possibility of extending their ranges and introducing new products. We are delighted to be representing our 200 plus members at the White Label Expo in 2023.”
