Aker BioMarine has joined Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN) as a founding sponsor. WIN, a nonprofit group spearheaded by global nutraceutical leaders, is dedicated to building support for women in the nutraceuticals industry, to help increase the percentage of women holding leadership roles in the C-suite and across the dietary supplement supply chain, funding for female-led businesses, and women’s participation in nutraceuticals research.
“At Aker BioMarine, we innovate by nature and are on a mission to improve human and planetary health,” said Simon Seward, EVP Human Health & Nutrition, Aker BioMarine. “And to live by this mission every day, we rely on the heartbeat of our company—our people."
Seward continued: "One of the major factors in the evolution of our business is our diverse group of colleagues within Aker BioMarine. We are the fishermen and women as well as the creators, builders, scientists and business professionals and we foster inclusivity and empower our female colleagues on every level possible. In fact, almost 50% of our executive management team is comprised of women and we have women in leading roles throughout the company.”
