Clasado Biosciences has announced that Vitafoods Europe 2024 will see the debut of Saya Suka, a synbiotic water range launched by Zurich-based beverage business, Kefinova AG.
The functional beverage features Clasado’s Bimuno GOS as the prebiotic element, while the probiotic, Weizmannia Coagulans GX-1, is supplied by probiotic specialist Probi AB.
What's on for Clasado at Vitafoods?
Visitors to Vitafoods Europe 2024, taking place 14-16 May in Geneva, Switzerland, are invited to see and taste the Saya Suka product range first-hand at the Probi AB stand, L222.
The launch shows the versatility of synbiotics, most often the combination of prebiotics and probiotics, in one product. The category is one the fastest-growing types of ‘biotic’ in the consumer health arena, expected to see a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.20% to 2029.
Dr Frederic Narbel, VP of B2B Sales at Clasado, said: “Vitafoods Europe is an exciting hotbed of nutritional innovation and 2024 will be no different. The Saya Suka synbiotic water range is an example of today’s innovative products in the beverage category and it shows what’s possible when consumer demand for gut health solutions is met with strong scientific backing. Better still, it’s not just thirst-quenching, it’s also satisfying the consumer appetite for gut health-supporting products.
The Saya Suka range will launch with three flavours: Lemon Zest & Rosehip, Raspberry & Cardamom, and Bergamot & Swiss Pine.
In addition to quenching thirst, the synbiotic nature of the drink means it’s also supporting a well-balanced gut microbiome. In addition to the probiotic element in Saya Suka, Bimuno GOS is shown to nourish Bifidobacteria, a ‘good’ bacteria associated with gastrointestinal, immune and cognitive health.
