Following the closure of Bacthera's contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) activities, Lallemand has acquired a broad range of state-of-the-art equipment to produce drug substances and drug products in anaerobic conditions.
This move reinforces its GMP pharma production capabilities for next-generation strains.
The acquisition also includes advanced analytical devices, such as additional qPCR and MALDI-TOF, which will enable EXPERT’Biome to strengthen its leading position in live biotherapeutics (LBP) CDMO activities.

The microbiome programme enables the improvement of methods and skills to accelerate the development of strains and bioprocesses, particularly on strict anaerobes.
