Clasado Biosciences, a global leader in the development of scientifically proven prebiotic ingredients and product solutions for the gut microbiome, has been appointed to the Council of the Health Food Manufacturers' Association (‘HFMA’).
The HFMA is the authoritative voice of the UK's natural health product industry, a non-profit trade association representing the interests of manufacturers and suppliers of specialist health products. Clasado will be represented by General Counsel, Lucie Nagy, who will help contribute to the workings of the Council.
Lucie brings extensive expertise in scientific and regulatory affairs within the nutrition and health sectors, and her appointment further strengthens Clasado's commitment to advocating for science and supporting the natural health products industry.
"I am honoured to represent Clasado at the HFMA Council and contribute to shaping the future of our industry,” said Lucie. “The role presents an exciting opportunity for Clasado to engage in strategic discussion for the natural health products industry. As the health and nutrition category continues to grow and new innovations come to the forefront, it’s a real opportunity to be part of that constructive discussion."
Martin Last, Director General at the HFMA, said: "We are delighted to welcome Clasado as a new member of our Council as we continue to represent our members' interests with legislators and regulators, with an industry collective voice."
Per Rehné, CEO at Clasado, added: "Clasado's appointment to the HFMA Council reflects our commitment to advancing the natural health products industry and the desire to help maintain the high standards for the industry. Lucie's extensive expertise in this field makes her ideally positioned to fulfil this role and to contribute to meaningful policy discussions and industry initiatives."
