The Sami-Sabinsa Group, which manufactures and markets phytonutrients and standardised herbal extracts, specialty fine chemicals, and organic intermediates used in the nutritional, cosmeceutical and food industries, received the Best Manufacturer Exporter Award Gold in the Large Category at the thirteenth Export Excellence Awards, organised by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), Bangalore.
David Rasquinha, Export-Import Bank of India MD, presented the award to Shaheen Majeed, president worldwide at Sabinsa, assisted by K Ravi, president, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI).

The Export Excellence Awards are presented annually to the top exporters from the Indian state of Karnataka for outstanding performance. FKCCI was founded in 1916 to promote business development in Karnataka, which today is one of the leading states in exports from India.
Earlier this year, the company was also recognised by the Basic Chemicals, Cosmetics & Dyes Export Promotion Council (CHEMEXCIL), set up by the government of India’s Ministry of Commerce & Industry, with the Certificate of Merit Outstanding Export Performance Award for the year 2016-17.
