Dr Adrian Lopresti, PhD, is a Clinical Psychologist and senior researcher at Murdoch University, Western Australia. He has over 20 years of clinical experience working with children trough to adults suffering from a range of mental health conditions including depressive and anxiety-related disorders. Dr Lopresti regularly publishes in peer-reviewed, and high-impact journals on the effects of diet, nutraceuticals, sleep, and exercise for the treatment and prevention of depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and bipolar disorder. He has completed several clinical trials investigating the effects of saffron and other nutraceuticals for the treatment of anxiety and depression in children and adults. Dr Lopresti is also the founder of Personalised Integrative Therapy, an evidenced-based treatment for mental health disorders which combines psychological, nutritional, environmental, and lifestyle-based strategies to enhance mental wellbeing.
Marguerite Gerritsen joined Pharmactive in 2019 as Managing Director, primarily in charge of leading the international expansion of the business. Marguerite has a background in international business, strategic marketing and innovation management and has worked in a variety of international companies in either life sciences & biotech, speciality plastics & industrial chemicals. Daniel González Hedström obtained his Biochemistry degree in 2016 at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (Spain). After completing the Biochemistry Degree, he obtained his Master in Pharmacological Research at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), where he carried out his Master Thesis about the cardiovascular insulin resistance in an experimental model of childhood obesity in rats. Daniel González Hedström is doing his PhD in Pharmacology and Physiology at the Research & Development department of the company Pharmactive Biotech Products S. L. in collaboration with the research group of Dr Miriam Granado, who protects the doctoral thesis, under the Doctorado Industrial fellowship by theComunidad de Madrid. His work is focused on the development of new plant-based nutraceuticals and tests its functionality in vitro and in vivo. He has recently published 5 papers in Q1 journals and he has participated in many different scientific congresses.
