Nutraland USA, a plant-based functional ingredients provider, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Biowell NutriScience to distribute Somato.
The phytomelatonin ingredient sourced from tomatoes will be distributed by Biowell NutriScience in Taiwan, and will expand Nutraland USA's global footprint.
Biowell NutriScience has a strong distribution network in Taiwan, and will be solely responsible for the marketing, sales and distribution of Somato across the country.
According to Nutraland USA, Somato is the first whole-food derived phytomelatonin from tomatoes on the market.
It can also offer as a natural alternative to standard synthetic melatonin products generally available to consumers.
This is of particular interest for the Taiwanese population, as melatonin is currently regulated as a drug, so patrons will need a prescription to obtain it.
