MycoTechnology has appointed Jordi Ferre as its new CEO, who will assume the position on January 2, 2025.
Jordi will succeed Ranjan Patnaik — MycoTechnology's CTO — who has been acting as the interim CEO. Ranjan will return to his role as CTO once this change is effective.
Mr Ferre joins MycoTechnology with more than three deades of management experience in the nutraceutical, food and agri-tech industries.
To fulfil his role as CEO, Jordi will be relocating to Denver, Colorado.
Jordi currently works as the Head of the Global Food Division at HealthTech Bioactives (HTBA), which specialises in functional health ingredients, animal nutrition and taste modulation.
Previously, Mr Ferre was the CEO of AgroFresh, a food preservation company, as well as the COO of PureCircle, a stevia sweetener-focused business.
He has also held management positions at Tate & Lyle and Alvinesa Natural Ingredients.
Chair of MycoTechnology's Board of Directors, Rob Case, commented: “With his extensive commercial experience in natural, value-added ingredients, Jordi is well-suited to lead MycoTechnology through continued growth, including the development and launch of new, naturally derived sugar reduction solutions,”
“We’re thrilled to welcome him aboard and believe that he will be a transformative leader to support the company’s progress, culture, mission and values.”
Ferre adds, “Based on its impressive technological developments to date and continuous innovation, MycoTechnology is ready to enter its next chapter of growth, bringing breakthrough natural solutions with a lasting impact. I am excited for the opportunity to accelerate the company’s expansion while strengthening both internal culture and global strategic partnerships.”
