MaxScientific and Seragon Biosciences collaborate to optimise healthy ageing nutraceutical, Revigorator

Using Seragon's NAD+ boosting technology, MaxScientific will optimise the bioavailability and cellular absorption of its functional ingredient

MaxScientific and Seragon Biosciences have begun collaborations to optimise Revigorator, MaxScientific's healthy ageing nutraceutical.

Through their recent licensing agreement, MaxScientific will gain access to Seragon Biosciences' range of biotechnologies, which will assist the company in optimising the bioavailability and NAD+ boosting potential of Revigorator.

Revigorator is a solution specifically designed to enhance the cellular health of older users, promoting healthy ageing.

Its formulation consists of

  • NAD+: an essential coenzyme involved in the maintenance of cellular homeostasis that can reduce a cell's vulnerability to stress-related damage
  • Sirtuins: A range of proteins associated with the DNA repair process and immune activation
  • Senolytics: A compound class that targets and limits the negative impact of senescent cells on the body, which are strongly involved in the ageing process

To ensure that the nutraceutical formulation has an optimal therapeutic impact, MaxScientific wanted to enhance the delivery and bioavailability of each ingredient in the formulation.

Seragon's pharmaceutical delivery technologies, according to MaxScientific, will "ensure the targeted delivery and optimal absorption of Revigorator's next-generation components".

MaxScientific will also incorporate Seragon's NAD-boosting technology, which is able to support cellular NAD+ restoration when compared to NMN, a NAD+ precursor that was used in this formulation previously.

Senior Product Manager at MaxScientific, Brandon West, commented: "By applying Seragon Biosciences' expertise in clinical research and pharmaceutical technologies, we are setting a new standard for interventions targeting critical biological mechanisms implicated in cellular ageing,"

"The next iteration of Revigorator will feature novel ageing intervention technologies, including those engineered to optimise ingredient delivery, enhance cellular NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) and activate autophagy."
