The European Specialist Sports Nutrition Alliance (ESSNA) has launched the programme for its 2021 Awards ceremony, the ESSNawards, to be held on 9th December. This year, LGC Group, creators of the Informed testing and certification programme, will return as sponsors for a second year running.
The awards are aimed to recognise and celebrate innovation and success in the sports and active nutrition industry, highlighting key issues and developments in ingredients and sustainability. Previous years have featured special guest speakers, judges and hosts such as Paralympian athlete Charlotte Henshaw, founder of the Centre for Integrative Sports Nutrition Ian Craig, Professor of Human Physiology Graeme Close and chair of ESSNA Dr Adam Carey.
This year’s ceremony will be delivered by Whitehouse Communications in partnership with ESSNA, and will feature 18 awards including: Best Protein Powder/Shake, Best Product for Women’s Fitness, Best Sports Nutrition Company, among several others.
Early bird entries are open now and can be submitted online.
Terence O’Rorke, Business Development Manager for LGC Group said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the ESSNawards once again to celebrate leaders in sports and active nutrition. The awards are an excellent opportunity to share exciting developments and innovation in the sector, something LGC is really proud to be a part of.
“LGC’s newly expanded Informed programme provides testing and certification services at all stages of production – including finished products, ingredients and manufacturing facilities - which is crucial for sports and active nutrition businesses to combat inadvertent doping and provide quality assurance for their customers. Working with the ESSNawards for LGC is symbiotic to our mission of helping to elevate the sports and active nutrition industry to the best it can possibly be.”
