Fytexia has released scientific research further exploring the benefits of its Fiit-ns extract on the human metabolism.
Promoted under the trademark Fiit-ns, the extract formulated from grape, grapefruit, green tea, guarana, and black carrot, in association with vitamin B3, has been tested in 2 clinical trials. The most recent was published in 2021 in the journal Nutrients. The article focuses on both physical and mental outcomes.
The randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was done at the research centre of UCAM, Spain. The primary goal of the study was to investigate changes in the health-related quality of life (HR-QOL, assessed by a SF-36 validated questionnaire). 72 overweight and obese but otherwise healthy individuals were involved in the 16-week study.
Supplementation with 900 mg of Fiit-ns daily was correlated with significant HR-QOL improvement, including enhanced perceived physical and mental health components, with bodily pain, vitality, and general health being impacted most heavily.
Body weight and fat mass of the supplemented group both decreased significantly. Consequently, the waist size significantly decreased by 1.1 cm, lowering the Index of Central Obesity by 1.3%.
Supplementation with Fiit-ns also induced a significantly increased engagement in physical activity compared to the placebo group.
Fiit-ns is suitable for tablets, capsules, sachets, stick packs, and functional beverages at a daily dosage of 900mg/day.
