The Global Organisation for EPA and DHA omega-3 is now offering its ‘Proud Member’ logo not just to suppliers, but also to consumer packaged goods companies.
The logo is an indication of a company’s commitment to ethical business practices. This is not equitable to seal of approval on the product quality but does infer dedication to the end product.
To carry the logo, Trident Seafoods had to follow the GOED Code of Ethics and Business Practices, their products had adhere to GOED’s Voluntary Monograph, and all products must meet applicable laws and regulations in the market in which the product is sold, and members must maintain records of product compliance.
The first consumer product brand who will use the logo is Trident Seafoods on its Pure Alaska omega-3 500 mg EPA+DHA capsules.
In order to build a presence in this new target area, the company has set up a website, along with several social media platforms. The website has a feature to quiz to see how much of the daily recommended amount of omega-3 someone is getting.
