Bromelain, a mixture of proteolytic enzymes derived from the fruit or stem of pineapple, is widely used for its health benefits, such as reducing swelling and alleviating joint discomfort. The study assessed their enzymatic activity and total protein content, and employed SDS-PAGE and Western blot analyses to confirm the presence of bromelain in each sample.

The results revealed that BROMEYAL® was the only ingredient to demonstrate the presence of bromelain with enzymatic activity matching its declared potency, thereby confirming its authenticity and quality.
