The two-stage audit process was carried out locally by IRAM, Argentina’s Institute of Normalization and Certification, one of the most reputable and long-standing certification bodies in the country.
IRAM’s recommendation to award certification was validated by the FSSC 22000 Foundation.
“We are excited about obtaining FSSC 22000 certification, it is a recognition of our long time commitment to the highest global standards in Food Safety, as well as the robustness of our quality system,” said Rolando Hernandez, Head of Quality Assurance of AOM.
One of the key elements that triggered the certification process was the launch in late 2017 of AOM’s new plant building.
This not only represented a major quantitative step in capacity expansion, but also in terms of quality, with state of the art pharmaceutical-grade blending and packaging facilities as well as a brand new quality and R&D laboratory.
“Ever since the launch of our business in 2003, we have focused on the creation of differentiated products of the highest quality standards in world class production facilities,” said Alejandro Abad, Director of AOM.
“While we have long been recognised for this by our customers who regularly audit our facilities, this new certification is further proof of our results, which the entire market can see.”
AOM’s FSSC 22000 certificate is valid for 3 years until 2021.
