Alkemist Labs, a contract nutraceutical testing specialist, has developed a guidance document which aims to assist industry members in choosing high-quality third party testing labs.
The report details what businesses should be looking for in a testing lab, as well as the qualifications that a reliable laboratory will have.
It will also delve into the legal side of dietary supplement testing, discussing the regulations that surround the industry and what the repercussions are when a business does not comply to such rules.
There is also a segment on developing partnerships with laboratories, and what should be noted in this process.
The information detailed in Alkemist Labs’ report has been curated by industry experts, including Rend Al-Mondhiry, a Partner to Amin Wasserman Gurnani and Len Monheit, the CEO of ITC Strategy.
“There are a number of good laboratories that offer high quality dietary supplement testing services — not just ours. Yet, for years, I’ve watched brands struggle to evaluate labs, or in some cases choose bad labs with publicly documented quality issues,” commented Alkemist Labs’ CEO, Elan Sudberg.
“I couldn’t find a guide for industry members anywhere, so we decided to develop one. We hope that this guidance will help the companies who want to do things right choose the best labs available.”
