Global manufacturer Sirio Pharma has launched two new gummies in time for CPHI Frankfurt, located at Stand: 91D70.
The new products are formulated to help customers meet the growing demand for nutraceuticals that aid with sleep and stress, as well as boost the immune system.
Both newly created gummies will form part of the company’s growing ChewyVita range and have been launched in time for the winter months, with production capacity and customisation immediately available.
The products, presented to customers for the first time at the event, were specifically developed by SIRIO’s large R&D department to offer superior taste, texture and visual appearance to rival formulations with similar ingredients.
SIRIO’s Twinkle Twinkle Gummy is available sugar and gluten free – from non-GMO sources – and combines a unique blend of Melatonin, Passion Flower, Tea Theanine and Lemon Balm. Available in a range of customisable colours and shapes, it combines ingredients that help reduce the time taken to fall asleep and contribute to stress management and mood support.
The gummy, which can be centre-filled, is available as standard in an appealing cat-face shape with natural strawberry flavourings, and provides 1mg of Theanine and 1.5mg of melatonin.
A further new manuka honey product is launching simultaneously, delivering immune boosting properties as a consumer-friendly bright yellow gummy bear. It is immediately available to customers with a specification of up to 33.3mg of manuka honey alongside a complementary dose of zinc (up to 3.67mg). With the winter months approaching, the new product will launch as the aptly named Winter Shield Gummy and has been formulated to offer immune boosting, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. The pectin-based gummy is vegetarian, gluten free and non-GMO.
The Winter Shield gummy will be marketed to customers with a ‘sore no more’ tagline while the Twinkle Twinkle Gummy will be presented under the slogan ‘sleep better, sleep longer’.
Sara Lesina, General Manager Europe at SIRIO Europe commented: “CPHI is the biggest pharma event in the world, and we wanted to launch these two need products for either nutraceutical or pharma brands looking for partners to develop new, but natural, products with very strong consumer friendly appeal. In fact, the gummy supplements market continues to grow extremely quickly, and we are constantly innovating for our customers to stay ahead of trends.”
Lesina continued: “A standout benefit of both gummies is that they provide – as well as high bioavailability of ingredients – superior taste and texture profiles to anything currently on the market. These are premium products for discerning customers that will be more enjoyable to take."
