Kappa Bioscience, a manufacturer of vitamin K2 under the brand name K2Vital, invites visitors of Vitafoods 2022 to explore the results of a recent independent study on vitamin K2, which focused particularly on its synergistic relationship with vitamin D.

As well as exhibiting at booth J80 throughout the event, the company will be presenting at the Life Stage Theatre. On Tuesday 10 May, 15.00-15.25 CET, VP of Science and Product Development, Trygve Bergeland, will deliver a session titled, ‘The Perfect Pair: Discover how vitamin D depends on the not-so-well-known vitamin K2 for optimal function’.

K2Vital and K2Vital Delta are highly stable all-trans vitamin K2 MK-7 products, boasting 99.7% isomeric purity. The molecular structure is an all-trans menaquinone 7 isomer, meaning that it only contains the bioactive form of the molecule, the company says. K2Vital has reportedly become the Reference Standard for the United States Pharmacopeia, used globally as the benchmark for K2 analysis and cis/trans purity assessments.

Produced in the company’s factories in Norway, K2Vital is said to be identical to the vitamin K2 found in nature. It’s proven to activate vitamin K-dependent proteins, and it plays a key role in directing calcium to build and maintain strong bones, as well as to avoid deposits in the arteries.

During the event, Kappa Bioscience will be presenting findings regarding the synergistic relationship between vitamin K2 and vitamin D. Different nutrients from a biochemical perspective, the two vitamins work together to support bone and soft tissue maintenance, cardiovascular health and immune-modulating functions. The company has been a longstanding advocate for the importance of pairing these vitamins together, and now research is confirming their synergistic benefits.

Vitafoods Europe will be the first event attended by the event since the launch of its updated brand identity, ‘Doing it Right’. Its team of experts will be available on stand J80 to discuss the many applications for vitamin K2 currently being studied and the benefits it can offer to humans at every stage of life.
