Amano Enzyme showcases its selection of specialist microbial enzymes at SupplySide West

The enzyme specialist displays its selection of functional food ingredients designed to improve the taste and texture of plant-based food and drink products, as well as dietary supplements

Amano Enzyme is currently highlighting its range of enzymes for functional foods and beverages at SupplySide West.

The company's microbial enzymes are specifically designed to enhance the texture, taste and overall performance of a range of food, beverage and supplement products.

At the event, Amano is displaying a number of its enzyme solutions for a variety of indications, including: 

  • Plant-based beverages: Amano's enzyme technologies can enhance protein stability and mouthfeel in plant-based milk products, while also keeping sugar content to a minimum
  • Plant-based cheese: Amano also offers enzymes that can help manufacturers to deliver high protein plant-based cheese that replicate the stretchy, melty and creamy qualities of dairy cheeses
  • Plant-based meat: Custom enzymes developed by Amano can enhance the umami flavour, while also improving the texture and appearance of plant-based meat products — allowing manufacturers to mimic the sensory profile of real meat

As well as displaying its range of enzyme solutions, Amano Enzymes has its Technical Sales expert George Swedie presenting as part of the expo's education programme.

The talk, called "plant power unleashed: enzymes and biotech unlock tastier, healthier plant-based foods" will be held on the final day of the event (31 October) at 11:15am PDT in the Fi North America Theater Booth 1250.
