At Vitafoods Europe 2019, Vidya Herbs will launch its new product, Puremeric SFT, which the company developed from Curcuma Longa. The new turmeric extract product from the Indian company contains 95% Curcuminoid.
The extract has now been made to be easy to use for capsule filling and direct compression due to it’s stain-free and free-flowing properties. The company also claims the product is the first non-dusting and free-flowing turmeric extract on the market.
Curcumin in turmeric has been found to show anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting some of the enzymes and cytokines involved in cell membrane inflammation. It has been indicated in helping with diseases such as osteoarthritis.
Puremeric SFT is aligned with the market demand for clean label (free from excipients), sustainable, natural and organic. The new extract also won the Gold Awards at International Spice Conference 2019.
Vidya Herbs works closely with farmers and cultivates in an eco-friendly, closed system that guarantees full traceability and minimises the environmental footprint.
Vitafoods will take place on 7-9 May 2019 at Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland.
