Sami-Sabinsa receives multiple 'Best Of' Awards in India and Singapore

Awards have been given for categories ranging from herbal research to beverage taste, and to specific people for 'trailblazing' in the sector

The Sami-Sabinsa Group has been given numerous awards in recent weeks, being named "best of" in categories ranging from herbal research to beverage taste. The Sami-Sabinsa Group's founder, Chairman, and Managing Director, Dr Muhammed Majeed has also been commended.

Majeed and his company were honoured by the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), a 99-year old organisation of over 400 Chambers of Commerce and Trade Associations serving more than 450,000 members across India, with the mission to impact policy and legislation to foster balanced economic, industrial and social development.

The awards given at the 5th ASSOCHAM National Symposium on Nutraceuticals, held in New Delhi, were presented by Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Hon Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Animal Husbandry.

The 2019 Indian Nutraceuticals Trailblazer Award was presented to Majeed, following upon the Shield of Honor award he received last year: "In recognition of outstanding commitment and leadership in integrating technology with Ayurveda and shaping the Indian Nutraceutical Industry."

The Best Herbal Research Company award was presented to Dr Anju Majeed, Director of Sami Labs; the Best Nutraceutical Company award was accepted by Ms Sunayana, daughter of Dr Anju Majeed and granddaughter of Dr Majeed; and the Best Nutraceutical Export Company honour was received by Shri V G Nair, CEO and Director of Sami Labs Limited.

Several days later and 6,000 km away, Sabinsa received the Best Tasting Beverage award at Vitafoods Asia in Singapore for Curcumin C3 Power Liquid, a demonstration of the versatility of the company's GRAS affirmed Curcumin C3 Complex.
