Natural health ingredients supplier, Olygose, has received the 2017 New Prebiotic Ingredients Award for its range of plant based galacto-oligosaccharides

Frost & Sullivan’s global team of analysts and consultants has recognised the broad range of plant based galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) marketed by Olygose, with the introduction of the 2017 New Product Innovation in the Prebiotic Ingredients category.

Plant based GOS are a unique patented plant based alternative to common dairy based GOS and address the infant nutrition market (P-GOS), the prebiotic and symbiotic supplements market (AlphaGOS) and the weight management and satiety market (CravingZ’Gone).

The key criteria reviewed for award attribution are new product attributes (match to needs, reliability, quality, positioning and design) and customer impact (price, performance value, customer purchase experience, customer ownership experience, customer service experience and brand equity).

The unique fit for purpose of plant based GOS for lactose free, vegetarian/vegan and hypoallergenic formulations, as well as the highly developed customer service made a clear difference for the assessors.

Through this award, Frost & Sullivan has recognised Olygose as an innovation leader in the field of prebiotic ingredients and backs the philosophy of the company, which is to provide new ingredients strongly supported by scientific research and that modulate the microbiome.

This award echoes the 2017 Nutraingredients Infant Nutrition Ingredient of the year for P-GOS, celebrated during Vitafoods in Geneva.

François Delbaere, CEO of Olygose: “We are very proud that our innovation potential and ability to smartly market these innovations is recognised by industry peers. This rewards years of R&D efforts as well as targeted strategic expertise to position our brands as unique in their respective markets.”
