Omyasprint is an orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) based on the excipient Omyapharm and vitamin B12. Omyabone is a chewable tablet containing Calcipur as the active ingredient, as well as vitamins K2 and D3 from the company’s distribution portfolio.

The berry flavoured Omyasprint prototype is aimed at cognitive and immune health, with vitamin B12 helping to reduce tiredness and fatigue.

As an orally disintegrating tablet, Omyasprint is designed to dissolve in the mouth within seconds without the need for water.
The main challenge in ODT development is to simultaneously combine fast disintegration time, physical stability and acceptable mouthfeel with a cost-effective production process.
This requires specific excipients that differ to those used in other oral dosage forms. Omyapharm, a multifunctional mineral excipient, provides excellent carrier properties while also ensuring high mechanical stability and fast disintegration.
Thanks to their mechanical strength, tablets formulated with Omyapharm can be filled in regular bottles, reducing costs and difficulty of the conditioning process.
