Continuing its quest to develop innovative active ingredients, Greentech is now working even more closely with its sister companies Greensea (marine actives) and Biovitis (micro-organisms).
Further to the expansion announced in 2013, Greentech has added two new laboratories: one dedicated to microbiological analysis as part of its daily quality assurance process for all its ingredients; and one R&D laboratory specialising in fermentation technology.
Greentech is now creating original actives from the synergy of the botanical and micro-organism worlds.
At Cosmetics 2014 in Hamburg, Greentech launched two brand ranges of actives: Probiophytes and Ferment’Actives.
Probiophyte FRESH is a unique bacterial ferment active that specifically targets the bacteria that cause body odour without altering normal body flora.
Ferment'Actives are 'super actives' obtained by customised, controlled fermentation of a specific plant:
- Ferment’Active Goji Skin protection contains 3.3 times the amount of polyphenols compared with a regular goji extract
- Ferment’Active Raspberry Brightening contains 38 times the amount of AHAs compared with a regular raspberry extract
- Ferment’Active Pomegranate Anti-ageing has an antioxidant power 1.5 times greater than a classic pomegranate extract
