Green Circle Capital hires new VP and publishes VMS/nutraceutical white paper

Published: 5-Dec-2017

Green Circle is a leading and focused boutique investment bank that provides advisory services in raising capital and M&As for middle market health and wellness companies

Bakley Smith, CFA, has joined Green Circle Capital as a Vice President to head up the firm’s VMS/nutraceutical practice.

Mr Smith’s first order of business since joining the firm in September was to publish a white paper, entitled “Enhancing Enterprise Value of VMS/Nutraceutical Businesses.”

The paper can be read or downloaded here.

Prior to joining Green Circle, Mr Smith had been an equity research analyst at Bank of America and then Jefferies & Co. (where he covered food and drug retailers, healthy lifestyle and food and beverages) as well as an entrepreneur.

"We're thrilled to have Bakley join the firm,” said Stu Strumwasser, founder and Managing Director of Green Circle.

"His skillset and research experience in the natural products space are unique assets for a boutique firm."

"He is also here because he and I both see the VMS/nutraceutical space as underserved by middle market investment banks, and the broad industry growth rate is double that of food and beverages. I am very excited to see what he will accomplish and help us build in the next few years.”

Mr Smith is a Chartered Financial Analyst, is a registered representative with StillPoint Capital (the broker dealer that conducts securities transactions for Green Circle) and is a graduate of Wesleyan University.
